Rais of Tatarstan talks with participants of the School of Mayors program
KFU’s Higher School of Public Administration (HSPA) hosted Rustam Minnikhanov’s meeting on 28 May.
As part of the program, Tatarstan is visited by representatives of the leadership of 73 Russian cities on May 28-31.
The program is developed and implemented by the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration and the Presidential Executive Office of Russia. The Higher School of Public Administration is a co-organizer in Kazan.
The event was attended by Deputy Head of the Presidential Executive Office for Domestic Policy Yevgeny Grachyov, Chief of Staff of the Office of the Rais of Tatarstan Asgat Safarov, Co-Chairman of the All-Russian Association for the Development of Local Governments, member of the Presidium of the Presidential Council for the Development of Local Governments Irina Guseva, First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Office of the Rais – Head of the Directorate for Work with Territories Ilnur Garipov, Head of the Department for Public Service and Personnel of the Rais Alexander Belov, Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan Leila Fazleeva, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of the Economy of Tatarstan Midkhat Shagiakhmetov, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, and Director of HSPA Igor Privalov.
The Rais thanked the administrators of the program for choosing Tatarstan as one of the major locations for its implementation.
Then he spoke about the achievements of the province in various spheres of the economy and noted that Tatarstan is consistently among the top three leaders of the national ranking of investment climate.
“Federal support measures allow us to work actively on the development of territories and implementation of infrastructure projects,” emphasized Mr Minnikhanov.
The program is implemented to train qualified and competent experts capable of implementing projects aimed at the development of municipalities to improve the people’s quality of life. In Tatarstan, its participants will visit infrastructure and local beautification facilities of Kazan and familiarize themselves with businesses.
