Talks conducted with Aide to the President of Russia Vladimir Medinsky

They were joined by Chairman of the Tatarstan Regional Branch of the Russian Association of Lawyers Ildar Khalikov and President of KFU Riyaz Minzaripov.

Vladimir Medinsky praised the University for its role in preserving architectural, historical, cultural and natural heritage, as well as its efforts in education and research in this sphere.

“As part of its social mission, KFU stimulates the student community to pay attention to this issue and makes an invaluable contribution to solving relevant problems,” said the Aide.

The sides discussed a recent feat in historical heritage, namely, the inclusion of KFU’s observatories into the UNESCO World Heritage Lists. Vladimir Medinsky congratulated everyone on the fact.

The Aide also presented his lecture ‘Russian history – myths, distortions, and significance’. He finished his tour by visiting the Section for Manuscripts and Rare Books of the Lobachevsky Library.
