5th Global Forum of Young Diplomats wraps up

Vice-Rector for External Affairs Timirkhan Alishev visited the closing ceremony on 29 August.

This year’s forum gathered over 100 international guests from 70 countries. They discussed the role of Russia in a multipolar world, the future of regionalization, and global cooperation in various spheres.

“It is a great honor that Kazan Federal University was chosen as the venue for the forum of young diplomats. It is designed to unite young employees of the consular services of foreign states under 40 years old. They got acquainted with the history of our university, the history of the training of diplomatic workers, and Eastern studies. I am sure that this will be a continuation of the activities aimed at establishing the international integration of Kazan Federal University, increasing its recognition among diplomatic workers, various countries of the world,” commented the Vice-Rector post factum.

The participants recommended to further involve young diplomats into international discussions, promote cooperation between clubs and societies of young diplomats, organize more events for them. Based on the existing international climate, it’s especially important for everyone to develop horizontal links with full respect to the international law and fundamental principles of the UN Charter.
