8th International Forum on Teacher Education becomes the biggest ever

The forum was held on 25 – 27 May 2022.

Over 1,500 researchers from 29 countries and 214 institutions joined the event this year, which made IFTE one of the most representative teacher training conventions in the world. During the three days of the forum, 10,077 users connected to the livestreams.

This year’s main topics were psychological wellbeing of teachers, teacher education and the challenge of COVID, research-oriented teacher training, and pedagogical anthropology. The forum comprised 203 sessions with over 1,000 contributors.

“IFTE-2022 fulfilled its main purpose – being a bridge between Russian and overseas scientists, presenting Russian traditions and current achievements to the world, and helping us acquire best practices,” says Director of the Institute of Psychology and Education Aydar Kalimullin.

IFTE-2023 will be conducted under the tagline “The quality of teacher education and contemporary challenges.” The main topics will be moral education in contemporary socio-cultural enviornments, methodological preparedness of teachers, historical heritage and teacher training.

The next forum is scheduled for 24 – 26 May 2023.
