Acting Rector Dmitry Tayursky met with Vice-Premier of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar

The Acting Rector’s visit to the country concluded with a sit-down at the Government of Kazakhstan.
He was joined by Counselor to the Rector Rashid Azimov.
The sides discussed ongoing cooperation between KFU and numerous Kazakhstani institutions. In particular, Professor Tayursky spoke about joint programs in machine building with Kostanay Regional University and collaborations with the local private sector.
Vice-Premier Sklyar mentioned that universities are among the main drivers of the partnership between Kazakhstan and Russia. He also expressed keen interest in a potential establishment of a KFU branch in his country and pledged to promote this initiative. The Central Asian nation especially needs new qualified professionals in engineering and information technology.
