Automation of production processes discussed with Minsk Tractor Plant
A series of meetings was held in Kazan.
The participants were General Director of Minsk Tractor Plant (MTZ) Vitaly Vovk, Vice-Rector of KFU for Digital Transformation and Innovation Dmitry Pashin, General Director of MTZ-Tatarstan Almaz Akhmetov, Director of the Institute of Computational Mathematics and IT Dmitry Chikrin, and others.
The sides confirmed main areas and timelines of cooperation and exchanged relevant materials.
As part of the arrangement, target models for automation and driverless technology for the Belarus-3525 tractor were determined. The test tractor and additional equipment will be located at Kazan University.
The negotiators also proposed establishing a wider consortium involving Russian and Belarusian entities to promote automation of agriculture and precision agriculture. Talks with equipment vendors are expected to launch pilot projects for the consortium.
