Children from Donetsk People’s Republic accommodated at summer camp in Yelabuga

The stint for 96 children and 8 teachers was from 20 to 30 August at the Burevestnik (‘Harbinger’) camp.
The visitors spent time engaged in sports, games, educational activities, and wide-scale sightseeing. Among the toured facilities were KFU’s Yelabuga Institute and Naberezhnye Chelny Institute, the IT Park, Ivan Shishkin Museum, laboratories, industrial sites, and Tatar harvest festival Sabantuy.
Director of the Yelabuga Institute Yelena Merzon noted the professionalism of the Institute’s employees and students, who organized a very packed and exciting itinerary. Guests from Donetsk Republic were very open to new experiences. Among them are many children of servicemen and servicewomen and of single parents, winners of various contests and competitions.
“The kids are very eager to communicate and to partake in offered activities. Everyone is elated, and we are very thankful,” shared Oksana Shumbasova, teacher of the 114th School of the city of Donetsk.
