Cooperation agreement signed with COMSTECH in Karachi, Pakistan

COMSTECH stands for Ministerial Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

The signing took place during KFU delegation’s visit to the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences of the University of Karachi. The signatories were Vice-Rector for External Affairs Timirkhan Alishev and General Coordinator of COMSTECH Iqbal Choudhary.

KFU is now a part of COMSTECH partner consortium and will receive its first academic mobility arrival in February 2023. The Committee also serves as a partner of the OIC Youth Scientific Congress in Kazan on 21-23 November 2022.

Russia is currently an observer state within OIC and has recently signed an agreement with the organization regarding educational matters.

During the meeting in Karachi, KFU and COMSTECH shared ideas on joint biochemical research and Russian language studies at the University of Karachi.

The visit is set to conclude on 12 November.
