Delegates of Al Istiqlal University welcomed at KFU

The Palestinian team comprised Dean of Research Centers Muhammad Halas and Director of the Center for Russian Language and Culture Muhammad Najajra.

They were met by Vice-Rector for External Affairs Timirkhan Alishev, Counsellor to the Rector Linar Latypov, and Dean of the Higher School of Russian Language and Intercultural Communication Rezeda Mukhametshina.

Vice-Rector Alishev and Dean Halas presented their respective institutions. Dr. Alishev informed that KFU hosted 9 Palestinian students this past academic year. He commended them for their diligence and good behavior.

Al Istiqlal University is interested in Russian language studies. In particular, listeners of the Center for Russian Language may continue their instruction at KFU’s Preparatory School. Timirkhan Alishev suggested using our university’s proprietary Russian language learning software – Studerus.

Dr. Halas also mentioned that Al Istiqlal University wishes to promote cooperation in IT programs.

Both sides discussed academic exchange, and the guests extended their invitation to Kazanian students.

A memorandum of understanding will be drafted in the nearest future.

After the talks, the Palestinian delegation went to familiarize with the Institute of IT and Intelligent Systems and the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication.
