First joint seminar held with Helwan University

The online meeting took place on 12 April and was dedicated to contributions made by universities to sustainable development goals in humanities.

Helwan University is one of three largest public universities in Cairo, Egypt. It comprises 23 faculties in all fields of science and humanities. The university has expansive links with institutions from all over the world.

The participants were greeted by Acting Rector Dmitry Tayursky, “The signing of a memorandum of understanding with Helwan University in November last year further strengthened the emerging ties between our faculties, institutes, scientists and marked the beginning of a series of joint events between Kazan and Helwan universities. We highly appreciate the established partnership and friendly relations with the Arab Republic of Egypt – this warm, hospitable country rich in cultural and scientific traditions.” He thanked every scientist who is open for cooperation and eager to work on humanity’s pertinent problems.

Students from the Arab Republic of Egypt have been studying at KFU since 1996; currently, there are over 250 people in different programs.
