History Museum hosts 2022 Zavoisky Awards
The ceremony was headlined by First Vice-Rector Dmitry Tayursky, himself one of the inaugural winners of the honor.
The 1st prize for fundamental research went to Associate Professor of KFU Ruslan Batulin for his inquiry into optical spectroscopy of barium ions and atoms in superfluid helium. The laureate of the applied research nomination was Associate Professor of Kazan Technical University Almaz Sayfutdinov for studies of kinetics of fast electrons in plasma.


The second place also went to KFU representatives – Senior Research Associate Anton Kharitonov and Associate Professor Alexander Shemakhin. Three KFU employees were among the finalists.


The Zavoisky Award is co-run by KFU, Committee for Youth and Children’s Affairs of Kazan, and Zavoisky Physical-Technical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
