Kazan University listed among priority institutions in Russia for enrolment of Azerbaijani nationals by the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan

A special overseas education program for 2022 – 2026 has been adopted by the Azerbaijani authorities.
Under the auspices of the program, 2 thousand young people will receive degrees from best overseas universities in priority specialties – IT, engineering, data science, healthcare, teacher education, architecture, environment, aviation, space, public administration, energy, transportation, logistics, finance, and agriculture.
Sixteen Russian universities ended up in the list of designated institutions, says Vice-Rector for External Affairs Timirkhan Alishev, “It’s an important occasion for Kazan Federal University – to be included in the list of universities recognized by the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan. So far, KFU has only a small number of students from this country – forty four; all very talented young people. They choose KFU to acquire modern professions and work for their homeland.”
As it appears, the list is mostly based on the Academic Ranking of World Universities, also known as the Shanghai Ranking.
Just recently, KFU made more steps in cooperating with Azerbaijan, when a memorandum of cooperation was signed with Khazar University and agreements on further projects were reached with several other research institutions of the country.
