Kazan University represented at EduGate expo in Cairo, Egypt
The event which took place on 9 to 11 August is one of the largest educational expos in Egypt and the Middle East.
KFU’s booth was handled by Lead Specialist of the International Office Landysh Zakirova and university’s Representative in Egypt Mahmoud Shaheen. This was the first such participation for our university.
Many visitors stopped at the university’s stand and asked questions, especially about such specializations as general medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, program engineering, nanotechnology, robotics, mathematics, and design.
KFU is becoming more and more popular among Egyptian nationals. There are currently 159 students from the country, and over 150 applications have been made for the academic year 2022/2023. Last year, KFU’s Preparatory School opened its first full-time overseas program in Cairo.
“We taught students on-site in preparation for enrolment in Kazan University. In September 2022, we are opening another course at the capital city of Egypt. We also have wide-scale cooperation with local universities, such as Helwan University. Our flagship project is collaboration with Modern Group; the company plans to open a branch of Kazan Federal University here next year. The relevant agreement was recently signed, and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia gave its approval,” explains Vice-Rector for External Affairs Timirkhan Alishev.
KFU’s Cairo Branch will focus on general medicine, pharmacy, physical therapy studies, and nursing.
