Kazan University shares 6th-7th place in national inventiveness rankings by RAEX

The ranking is one of the several traditionally published by RAEX.

The university shares 6^th-7^th position with Skoltech University in 2022.

This ranking includes three criteria: number of patents in the last five years (weight 10%), quality of patents (weight 30%), and market demand (weight 60%). Among the used databases are PatentLens, Google Patents, and FIPS/Rospatent.

Apart from the main competition, KFU also occupies top positions in other categories: Development of Advanced Technology (7^th-8^th), Transition to Personalized High-Tech Healthcare (2^nd), Transition to Sustainable Production (2^nd), and Effective Responses of the Russian Society to Major Challenges (5^th-9^th).

The inventiveness ranking has been published since 2016.
