KFU first in Russia in ratio of international students in QS World University Rankings 2025

The efficiency of higher education institutions was assessed by the following 9 indicators: academic reputation (weight – 30 percent), reputation among employers (15), the ratio of faculty to students (10), the number of citations per employee (20), the share of foreign faculty, the share of foreign students, international research cooperation, employment, and sustainable development of the university (5 percent each).

This year the total rating score of KFU amounted to 29.6.

In terms of key indicators, KFU managed to maintain its position and enter the top 100 universities in the world in terms of student/teacher ratio, ranking 58th. The university also entered the top 100 in terms of the share of foreign students – according to the rating, KFU ranks 93rd in the world. It should be noted that in terms of the share of foreign students, international cooperation and sustainable development Kazan University confidently tops all three stages of the pedestal, ranking 1st, 2nd and 3rd among Russian universities respectively.

Positive dynamics is observed in academic reputation, where KFU climbed 14 positions. Significant results were achieved in International Research Interaction (+43) and Employment (+54).

Among the maximum scores are 95.6 points in the student/teacher ratio and the share of foreign students at 95.7 points.
