KFU’s network program opened in Tehran
Three groups of fifteen people each have been enrolled.
On 4 October, an opening ceremony took place in the capital of Iran. The University was represented by Vice-Rector for External Affairs Timirkhan Alishev and Deputy Director of the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication Elzara Gafiyatova.
The preparatory course is scheduled for one year – the first semester is spent in Tehran, and the second in Kazan. The Iranian part of the classes is taught by experts in Russian as a foreign language who have received additional training at KFU. The students have access to the Studerus online platform.
“We met with the students and their parents, answered all their questions,” notes Vice-Rector Alishev. “Their main interest is piqued by medical programs, and they are going to prepare for a biology exam. This preparatory course in Tehran helps us relieve the Kazanian infrastructure from overloading, and the students can save some expenses. I hope the program becomes successful.”
Last year, a similar project started in Cairo, Egypt, and this year also marks such a launch in Ankara, Turkey.
The KFU delegation also visited Shahid Beheshti University and Allameh Tabataba’i University. The sides discussed ongoing cooperation and agreements set to be signed during the upcoming 6th Forum of Rectors of Russia and Iran.
