KFU’s technology presented at Tatarstan Oil Summit 2022
The event was held in Almetyevsk, the Republic’s oil capital, on 12-13 July.
Kazan University dispatched Vice-Rector for Earth Sciences Danis Nurgaliev, Deputy Director of the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies Vladislav Sudakov, and employees of the University’s World-Class Research Center in Liquid Hydrocarbons.
The KFU team showed its exhibits to President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, including solutions for oil production, geochemical techniques, energy saving, and green energy.
In particular, KFU’s technology is widely used for Tatarstan’s Romashkino oilfield, an old field with a sizable ration of heavy oils and bitumen.
The Oil Summit also included 3rd International Youth Oil and Gas Forum and 8th Republican Open Field Contest of Young Geologists. The latter gathered 36 teams from Russia and neighboring countries. KFU employees are traditionally very active in organizing and judging the open field contest.
