Lenar Safin assumes chairmanship of the Council of Rectors of Tatarstan

A meeting was held on 23 November.

The convention of the Council was visited by Chief of Staff of the President of Tatarstan Asgat Safarov, Aide to the President Albert Gilmutdinov, and rectors of local universities.

Rector of KFU was elected Chairman of the Council for the next five years, replacing Interim Chairman, Rector of Kazan State Medical University Aleksey Sozinov.

“I am convinced that we can solve everything through joint efforts. The Council of Rectors of Tatarstan has always partaken in educational, scientific and innovative activities in our province,” noted Safin.

The Council was established over 30 years ago by the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia and the Russian Council of Rectors.
