Kazan Federal University

Meeting with employees of Bishkek City Council

The guests arrived on 22 August.

They were welcomed by Vice-Rector for External Affairs Timirkhan Alishev and Counsellor to the Rector Rashit Azimov.

The Kyrgyzstani delegation comprised Council members Ramina Idyrova, Svetlana Kenzhebaeva, and Elizaveta Alymbaeva.

“Our colleagues have been stunned by the scope of your work at the university for the benefit of young people and the country. It’s important for us to open a Kazan University branch in Kyrgyzstan, which will be a token of friendship between the two countries. We hope that our country’s educational reforms bear fruit,” shared Councilor Idyrova.

During the visit, the two sides charted possible tracks for future cooperation.

“We are interested in implementing a joint education program as a first step of cooperation,” confirmed Vice-Rector Alishev.

As of now, there are 60 Kyrgyzstani nationals enrolled in KFU programs, mostly in international relations and management.
