Meeting with President of Research Institute of Petroleum Industry of Iran Azim Kalantariasl

The guest spoke with Vice-Rector Timirkhan Alishev, Director of the International Office Olga Vershinina, and Deputy Director of the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies Vladislav Sudakov on 10 November.
The sides discussed academic mobility; according to Vice-Rector Alishev, it may be supported by governmental grants of the Republic of Tatarstan.
“Iran is 20th in the world in terms of research publications and 6th-7th in medicine. There is a huge Iranian scholary diaspora in the world, and they are active in cooperating with their home country. We need to continue and enhance our links with this country,” said the Vice-Rector.
Just recently, Timirkhan Alishev visited the Islamic Republic and partook in launching a joint preparatory course in Tehran.
Research Institute of Petroleum Industry and KFU have a standing memorandum of understanding.
As of now, KFU has 1,153 Iranian nationals enrolled in various programs, of which 704 are trainees of the Preparatory School.
