They moved to Naberezhnye Chelny after Lenar Safin’s official assumption of rectorship on 26 August.

The delegation toured the cabin frame factory, one of the newer parts (since 2019) of the truck maker’s industrial complex. The capacity is 55 thousand frames per year.

New projects were introduced to the guests, including electric trucks, electric buses, and prototypes of hydrogen-powered vehicles.

Minister Falkov noted that one of his office’s objectives to elevate cooperation links between the industry and the educational system to help the former develop robustly and implement innovations. This pertains to a project of the automotive engineering school at KFU as well.

At the Naberezhnye Chelny Institute of KFU, the delegates toured the Engineering Center and joint labs with industrial partners, such as KAMAZ., Ford Sollers, and Haier.

Director of the Naberezhnye Chelny Institute Makhmut Ganiev informed that the automotive engineering school will include 4 new undergraduate programs, 5 master programs and 1 specialty program for KAMAZ. Apart from that, there will be 9 advanced training programs and 4 retraining programs in digital technology for at least 360 KAMAZ employees.
