Rector Lenar Safin met with management of Sollers Engineering
The talks were organized on 19 January.
Sollers was represented by Chairman of the Board of Directors Adil Shirinov, General Director Mikhail Guryanov, and Head of GR Liliya Obolonskaya. Rector Safin was joined by First Vice-Rector Dmitry Tayursky.


Mr Shirinov introduced the company by saying that it has been in the automotive business in Tatarstan for 17 years. Sollers values its cooperation with higher and vocational schools, including Kazan Federal University, namely, its Naberezhnye Chelny Institute.
The sides discussed the possibility of opening a new department at KFU and student internships. Sollers is ready to offer employment and organize scholarship competitions for students.


The Rector noted that KFU is eager to expand cooperation. He pointed to alma mater’s excellent infrastructure, proprietary technology, storied engineering schools and other advantages as keys to success in implementing joint projects for the benefit of local automaking.
