Rector Lenar Safin welcomed at National University of Uzbekistan
The KFU delegation is visiting Uzbekistan’s leading educational institution.
Just the day before yesterday, KFU opened its first overseas branch in Jizzakh. Yesterday, Rector Safin, Vice-Rector for External Affairs Timirkhan Alishev, and Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Yekaterina Turilova were met by Rector of the National University of Uzbekistan Inom Madzhidov.

The sides discussed existing joint programs and prospects in academic mobility and research.
NUU is interested in opening an office of Qayum Nasyri Institute, a Tatarstani establishment aimed at promoting Tatar language and culture. KFU, in its turn, plans to open a center of Uzbek language before the end of 2022.

The two institutions also agreed to open a museum of Uzbek history and culture at Kazan University and a similar museum of Tatar history and thought at the National University of Uzbekistan.
