Riyaz Minzaripov appointed President of Kazan Federal University

The decision was made during a regular meeting of the Academic Board on 24 November.

Riyaz Minzaripov is one of the longest-serving administrative employees of the University, having worked in various positions since 1976. He was First Vice-Rector from 2010 till 2021. Keeping in mind Minzaripov’s experience and merit, the Academic Board decided to revive the post of President and elect him to it.

In other news, agreements were signed with the Spatial Data Foundation of Tatarstan and Office of Rosstat (Federal Service of Public Statistics) in Tatarstan.

First Vice-Rector Dmitry Tayursky received the Medal for Contribution to National Policy in Education, and Director of the International Office Olga Vershinina was given a certificate of merit from the Ministry of Education and Science of Tatarstan.
