Software for educational program relevance created as part of Student Startup grant project

ActIN, an app used to monitor the correlation between business analyst educational programs and job market demands, has been launched by student Danil Yusupov.

The idea was first raised by employees of the Department of Innovation and Investment (Institute of Management, Economics and Finance). They offered Yusupov to try acting on this idea, and he was enthusiastic, “Our team went a long path towards the result. We tried various approaches and algorithms. Then we found out about this grant competition and applied.”

The main objective is to tailor study programs to market demands. For that, one of the most popular Russian job websites will be regularly monitored and parsed in accordance with the software’s options. The obtained data on necessary skills and expertise will be compared with the contents of educational courses. Universities with unsatisfying content relevance will be adivsed to correct their curricula. According to Yusupov, the service will be useful to both universities and employers.

At the first iteration, the app will be tested only on business analysis programs. When everything is streamlined, other programs will be added.

The Student Startup contest in 2022 disbursed one million rubles to each of the one thousand winners. Overall, representatives of 154 universities from 54 provinces are among the awardees.
