Student of the Year at Kazan Federal University ceremony concludes the year for young activists

Rector Lenar Safin disbursed awards at the event in the Emperor Ballroom on 22 December.

He noted, “We are glad to welcome today the best of the best among the thousands of students of Kazan University. I thank each and every one of you for the effort and loyalty to alma mater. I am sure that the next year will have new interesting events and achievements.”

The ceremony comprised 24 nominations – leaders in social activism, arts, science, sports, and other areas.

The Student Grand Prix this year went to two people: sixth year student Ammar Hussein and PhD student Nikita Likhachyov. They were congratulated by the Rector and last year’s winner Denis Davydov.

In the end, Lenar Safin said that all the students who receive stipends will get additional payments to celebrate New Year.
