University celebrated its 218th birthday

A traditional concert was held on the evening of 18 November.

Rector Lenar Safin visited the event and noted in his congratulatory speech, “The status and research potential of our university has been established by numerous talented individuals and their everyday efforts. Hundreds of thousands of our alumni have become talented scholars, teachers, and statesmen. I am convinced that our rich traditions will help us maintain our standing as one of the leaders of higher education.”

He addressed the students and wished them to utilize every opportunity provided by the the alma mater. The Rector also thanked the university team and wished them new successes and professional growth.

As part of the concert program, an award ceremony was conducted for student unions and collectives, sports teams, and laureates of various competitions.
