University toured by delegates of the Forum of the 50th Anniversary of the UNESCO World Heritage Convention
Several overseas and Russian guests visited on 7 December.
The delegation comprised President of the International University for Science and Technology (Syria) Wael Mualla, President of Damascus University Mohamed Osama Al-Jabban, Vice-President of Damascus University for Scientific Research Affairs and Postgraduate Studies Mhd Firas Alhinnawi, Chairman of the Committee for External Affairs of the Union of Arab Alumni of Soviet and Russian University Yasser Allahai, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture of Damascus University Okuba Fakush, Counselor to the Secretary General of the Association of Alumni of Soviet and Russian Universities Wahib Karaji, Assistant to the Unit Director of the International Affairs Unit of the University of Jordan Sukaina Almanaseer, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador Alexandra Ochirova, Deputy Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly Julia Petrova, Rector of Belgorod State Technical University Igor Glagolev, and Chair of the Department of Public Administration of the Financial University of Russia Olga Panina.
They were accompanied by Vice-Rector for International Affairs Timirkhan Alishev at the History Museum, the Emperor Ballroom, and the Lenin Memorial Classroom. The Vice-Rector then spoke about the University’s structure, history, priorities, and student body.
