University visited by Chairman of the Communist Party of Russia Gennady Zyuganov

He was accompanied by Acting Rector Dmitry Tayursky.

At the university, the guest laid flowers to Vladimir Lenin’s monument in front of the Main Building and visited the History Museum and the Lenin Memorial Classroom. A meeting was then arranged with employees and students.

“I am elated by the fact that your institution has preserved its best traditions,” said Zyuganov. “Today it is among the ten best universities in the nation, and a fifth part of the students are from overseas.”

The audience then questioned the parliamentarian on a number of issues, including agriculture, foreign trade, youth policies, and political ideologies.

In conclusion, the visitor gave Acting Rector Tayursky a memorable coin ‘In Celebration of the 100 Years of the Soviet Union’ (the date is 30 December 2022). The same medal and coin had been previously handed over to President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.
