University visited by Mayor of Bodrum, Turkey
Mayor Ahmet Aras toured KFU on 20 September.
Accompanied by Vice-Rector for External Affairs Timirkhan Alishev, he walked through the History Museum, the Emperor Ballroom, and the Lenin Memorial Classroom. The Vice-Rector presented KFU’s current strategy and priorities and cooperation with Turkish colleagues. Currently, KFU houses 212 Turkish nationals, including 89 at the Preparatory School.
Ahmet Aras shared that he arrived to partake in Kazan Digital Week with Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin’s invitation. After touring the museums with KFU’s Director of Museum Complex Svetlana Frolova, the invitee opined, “I am very impressed by KFU. Among your alumni are scientists, writers, academics, politicians, and statespersons. I think that Kazan University has immensely contributed to the development of global science and is a deserving member of the top 500 global university rankings.”
