Visits to South Kazakhstan State University and South Kazakhstan Medical Academy
The meetings concluded Vice-Rector Timirkhan Alishev’s and Counselor to the Rector Rashit Azimov’s trip to the neighboring country.

Dr. Alishev comments on the talks with South Kazakhstan University, “We are working on several cooperation tracks – double diplomas in history, international relations, possibly also environmental studies, engineering, and machine industry. Journalism is also of interest.”
The two universities have already started joint projects in heavy oils and bitumen.

As per the sides’ agreement, representatives of SKSU will arrive at Kazan in May 2022 to sign a memorandum of understanding.
The delegation further moved to South Kazakhstan Medical Academy. The colleagues showed interest in KFU’s medical simulation equipment and general medicine curriculum. As their peers from South Kazakhstan University, they plan to pay a return visit to Kazan.

Ontustik LLP, the founder and operating entity of the Medical Academy, was also visited by KFU leadership. It is engaged in various projects in industry, energy, and hydrocarbons. The company wants to tap into KFU’ expertise in digital modeling of deposits and to establish joint laboratories.
