Winner of 54th International Chemistry Olympiad ponders enrolment in Kazan University

Nikita Perov, the triumphant of this year’s competition in Tianjin, China, met with Director of the Institute of Chemistry of Kazan Federal University Marat Ziganshin.
Perov, currently entering his last grade in the Lyceum N 131 in Kazan, will received 1 million rubles as reward for his impressive achievement.
He said that he is most interested in inorganic chemistry and physical chemistry. He attends a chemistry science club ran by KFU PhD student Bulat Kuramshin. Director Ziganshin emphasized that the Institute is ready to provide Perov with full support in is further contests.
In other news, five pedestal occupants of this year’s All-Russian Chemistry Olympiad will all be admitted to our university. One of them, Bulat Gaynutdinov, graduated from the KFU Lobachevsky Lyceum.
Marat Ziganshin noted that Tatarstan is second among Russian provinces in the number of chemistry competition winners after Moscow, “We are very proud that our efforts with such kids is not in vain. We’ll try our best to help all the new students implement their talents both in research and teaching.”
