Winners of XIV International Tournament of Informatics commended by Rector Lenar Safin

He was joined by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Yekaterina Turilova and Director of KFU Lobachevsky Lyceum Yelena Skobeltsyna.

The guys shared their experiences of the competitions and plans together with team coach, Distinguished Teacher of Russia Sergey Mikhaylin.

“You, guys, are real heroes,” started the Rector. “Importantly, you represent both Kazan University and the nation. I am sure any university will be glad to welcome you – and I sincerely hope that you choose KFU.”

Sergey Mikhaylin was of high opinion of his young students’ level of competence, “These guys are super-motivated, responsible and conscientious. They are very hard-working and spend much time in training every day – and even help teach other kids.”

The 14th ATI took place in Shumen, Bulgaria, from 24 to 27 November. Students of the Lobachevsky Lyceum (studying in 8th, 10th, and 11th grade) won 5 medals: 1 gold, 2 silvers, and 2 bronzes.
