Snow Squad reports latest findings from Battle of Stalingrad sites

The students and their supervisor, Snow Squad leader Airat Fatykhov, have just returned from Volgograd Oblast.

The expedition was held from 30 July till 8 August in Gorodische District.

The squad recovered full remains of 16 soldiers and 4 fragments of bodies. Personal belongings are now being studied to determine their identities and find living relatives.

In a bit of luck, one medallion with personal ID was found and will also be studied.

Another expedition will take place soon, from 10 to 23 September, and is going to return to Lyuban in Tosno District, Leningrad Oblast, where several trips have already been made.
