KFU eyes technological cooperation with Sollers Engineering

A meeting was held on June 18.

The Sollers delegation was headed by Mikhail Guryanov (Director for Research and Development at Sollers Ford LLC, Director for Technology at Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant, General Director at Sollers Engineering). The University was represented by Vice-Rector for Education Dmitry Tayursky, Vice-Rector for Engineering Nayil Kashapov, and others.

Employees of Sollers Engineering spoke about their advancements in smart city tech, including micro-mobility, wind electric generators, electronic architecture systems for the automotive industry, circular model production for the recycling of electric batteries, etc.

In his turn, Director of the Higher School of Cyber-Physical Systems and Applied Electronics Oleg Sherstyukov shed light on KFU’s achievements in driverless transport.

Mikhail Guryanov noted, “We mentioned the projects which have already entered series production. We’ll find way to interact with the University.”

A number of problems facing Sollers Engineering are in line with the solutions sought by Kazan University, said Vice-Rector Tayursky. Another meeting is planned soon to outline joint work in more detail.
