Associate Professor Leisan Kayumova presented her project on Internet safety for adolescents
She is one of the graduates of the Women’s Leadership Workshop, part of Russia – Country of Opportunities platform.
The project comprises social media materials – animation, videos, challenges, and other stuff – dedicated to information safety for young people.
“Sadly, children often become victims of online crime, and adults don’t always have the necessary skills to protect them,” says Kayumova.
The presentation, which acted as graduation work, was held during the second stage of the Women’s Leadership Worskhop; it was among the 25 finalists.
The leadership program was launched by Russia – Country of Opportunities in cooperation with the Eurasian Women’s Forum.
In the course of the last three months, the workshop aimed at teaching the participants effective leadership skills. The uniqueness of the project is that it aims at involving women into social activism. Overall, women from 53 federals subjects of Russia joined this year.
Leisan Kayumova’s team also included Anna Tarasova (Aide to the Chairman of the Morale Division, Investigative Committee of Russia), Elmira Ibragimova (physician), Alina Alborova (Head of the Section for Preventive Action, Center of Crisis Management, EMERCOM of Russia), and Olga Finodeeva (Chief HR Inspector, Department of Corrections of Sverdlovsk Oblast).
