Delegation of Bukhara State University

Guests from Uzbekistan arrived at Kazan University on 20 December.

The team comprised Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation Otabek Kakharov and Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Abror Zhuraev.

They were welcomed by Vice-Rector for Education Timirkhan Alishev, Counsellor to the Rector for International Cooperation Linar Latypov, Director of the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication Radif Zamaletdinov, Director of the Institute Management, Economics and Finance Nailya Bagautdinova, and Director of the International Office Olga Vershinina.

Bukhara State University is one of the largest in Uzbekistan with over 26 thousand students. It is currently interested in opening undergraduate programs in Turkology and Russian as a foreign language.

Our two institutions have been working together since December 2017. Just recently, a team of 20 BSU employees interned at Kazan University to acquire more expertise in advancing in international rankings. There are some double diploma programs in the plans.

As of now, 2,508 Uzbekistani nationals study at KFU. Moreover, our university has 45 joint undergraduate and graduate programs with Uzbekistani universities, including 3+1 and 2+2 bachelor programs.
