Delegation of the Embassy of the Netherlands toured the Main Building and met with academics and staff
The guests arrived on 9 December.
The delegation comprised Counsellor for Trade and Economy Nora Dessing, Attaché for Innovation, Technology and Science Sibe Nordmeyer, and Senior Assistant of the Department of Trade and Economy Yulia Smirnova.
Kazan University was represented by Counsellor to the Rector for International Cooperation Linar Latypov, Director of the International Office Olga Vershinina, Deputy Director of the Institute of International relations Liliya Ilikova, Deputy Director of the Institute of Design and Spatial Arts Yelena Denisenko, and Director of the School of Arts of the Institute of Design and Spatial Arts Elza Bashirova.
Mr. Nordmeyer noted that Netherlandish scientists are interested in developing cooperation in astronomy, life sciences, and chemistry. “This is my first visit to Kazan Federal University. I’ve been impressed by the University’s history, this magnificent building, and the fact that Leo Tolstoy himself was a student,” he said.
