Female students will join the Women’s League project

The mentorship initiative is provided by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia.

The Women’s League was first presented at the Russian Creative Week and further discussed at the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok in September 2021. A call for applications was made at the 3rd Eurasian Women’s Forum in Saint-Petersburg in October 2021.

Over 50 leaders in various fields have confirmed their participation. Among them are First Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Russia Olga Batalina, Deputy Minister of Culture of Russia Olga Yarilova, First Deputy Chairwoman of the Committee on International Affairs of the State Duma Svetlana Zhurova, Public Ombudsman for Small and Medium Business Anastasia Tatulova, Commissioner for Human Rights of Russia Tatiana Moskalkova, Director of the Polytechnic Museum (Moscow) Yelena Pronicheva, and others.

“During this Year of Science and Technology, we have discussed the issues of women’s leadership on various stages,” said Yelena Druzhinina, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia. “Many young women have told us that they need a project where they could borrow some experience from successful women. That’s how this mentorship project was conceived.”
