Festival of Families held for university employees

The event took place on May 31.

Every year, KFU organizes a celebration of families to mark the International Day of Families. The festival is a long list of small events culminating on the Children’s Day on June 1.

On May 28, employees and their kids partook in a talent show. Rector Ilshat Gafurov welcomed everyone by saying, “Thanks to families, our society develops, and our well-being grows. Kazan University first celebrated the Day of Families in 1998. Today, the festival unites our community, and we see that each of our families has unique talents.”

The Rector thanked everyone and wished the participants and their children all the best, health, happiness and mutual respect.

Over 300 prizes were given away to children in various nominations. The winning family received tickets to a boat trip from the Tatarstan Branch of the Russian Trade Union of Education and Science Workers. Deputy Minister of Youth Affairs of Tatarstan Alla Kondratyeva joined the ceremony.
