Jizzakh Branch to receive multifaceted support from Uzbekistani authorities
A discussion about the upcoming branch opening was held during Acting Rector Dmitry Tayursky’s visit to Uzbekistan on 22 March.
KFU representatives visited the Ministry of Higher and Vocational Education of Uzbekistan. First Deputy Minister Komiljon Karimov assured that the Government of Uzbekistan is ready to provide any necessary help in shaping the Branch’s educational programs, general maintenance, procurement, and other activities.
The Kazanites further went to the State Inspection for Education Quality of Uzbekistan and spoke with colleagues about licensing and other paperwork issues.
Minister of Health of Uzbekistan Bekhzod Musaev said that his ministry will assist in establishing a medical simulation center and equipment purchases for medical education and research.
Finally, the visitors met with the Minister of Innovative Development of Uzbekistan Ibrokhim Abdurakhmonov. They discussed cooperation in research and internships at KFU for Uzbekistani educators and scientists.
KFU’s Jizzakh Branch, scheduled for opening on 1 September 2022, will offer programs in machine building, geology, software engineering, economics, IT, management, linguistics, medicine, and pharmacy.
