Leadership reshuffle announced by Rector Ilshat Gafurov

The changes were publicized during the morning briefing of July 15.

There are no new faces among the management, but three persons changed their titles.

Dr. Danis Nurgaliev, who previously served as Vice-Rector for Research, is now Vice-Rector for Petroleum and Gas Technology. He retains his post as Director of the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies.

Dr. Dmitry Tayursky replaced him as Vice-Rector for Research and vacated the job of Vice-Rector for Education. He also remains active as Director of the Institute of Physics.

The position of Vice-Rector for Education was filled by Dr. Timirkhan Alishev, who previously worked as Vice-Rector for International Cooperation.
