Postmodernism, postcapitalism and posttruth discussed at Sadykov Readings

The annual conference this year takes up 17 – 18 November.
The organizers are KFU, Tatarstan Academy of Sciences, and Russian Philosophical Society.
During the opening remarks, the participants were greeted by Director of the Institute of Social and Philosophical Sciences and Mass Communications Mikhail Shchelkunov and Vice-President of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences Ainur Timerkhanov.
The plenary session featured reports on the image of the future, Homo academicus, political post-history, media consumption, video games, and other topics.
The student sessions will be held on Saturday, 18 November.
Sadykov Readings are in memoriam of Marat Sadykov (1932 – 2009), prominent Kazanian philosopher, educator, and longtime Chair of the Department of Philosophy at Kazan University (1980 – 1999).
