Nowruz celebrated at the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication

The concert took place on 18 March.

The numbers included ethnic dances, songs in various languages (Russian, Tatar, Uzbek, Turkmen, and Chinese), trivia quizzes, and culinary exhibits.

Director of the Institute of Philology Radif Zamaletdinov addressed the audience, “I’m pleased to be here celebrating Nowruz. It’s also a big holiday in Afghanistan, Iran, Albania, Macedonia, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, China, India, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. Among our 1,500 students, there are many young people from overseas. And we are glad that they have chosen Kazan Federal University.”

Many visitors came with their families, and the celebration passed with a really warm atmosphere.
