KFU invites overseas students to join Summer University

The two-week event will take up 10 to 23 July.

The program comprises lectures, seminars, workshops, trips, and cultural events. All the expenses, including transfers within Kazan, three meals a day, coffee breaks, medical insurance, and classes, are covered by the organizers. The initiative is only open for foreign nationals currently residing outside Russia.

“The program targets young people from overseas who plan to enroll in Russian universities. Those are invidiuals from neighboring and far countries, including Cuba, Algeria, Egypt, Syria, and Turkey. The registration is now open. Overall, about 300 people with chaperones will partake,” says Vice-Rector for International Affairs Timirkhan Alishev.

Among the tracks for selection are Languages and Culture of Russia, New Modeling Technologies (VR and AR), Environmental Design and Tactical Urbanism, Psychological and Pedagogical Technologies and Techniques of Interactive Learning, International Relations and Russia in a Global World, Environmental Design and Sustainable Development of Cities, Physical and Engineering Technologies of the Future, Game Design, and two tracks in English – Digital Economy and Environmental Design and Tactical Urbanism.

The local partners are Lobachevsky University, Samara State Technical University, Udmurt State University, Innopolis University, and other institutions of the Volga Federal District. According to the Vice-Rector, the program was designed with maximum diversity in mind, and the participants will be able to visit multilpe courses during their stay. Apart from that, a social project session is planned, where the students will draft up and present a study project for possible further implementation at home.

Everyone will have opportunities to talk about their native country and familiarize themselves with the cultural riches of Tatarstan.

This is the first iteration of the program for KFU, and the University hopes to present its most interesting programs to possible future enrollees.
