Overseas students now eligible to join Student Startup competition
The demand for Student Startup is growing with each iteration – the third contest received over 4,000 applications. In 2023, over 1,500 students have already received grant funding, compared to a thousand in 2022.
In the competition, special preference is given to the industries of high importance for Russia. They comprise healthcare, instrument manufacturing, import substitution, and some other fields. The seven thematic domains of the grant contest are: digital technology; medicine and healthcare; chemical technology and new materials; new devices and intelligent manufacturing; biotechnology; resource-saving energy technology; and creative industries.
Grant recipients should register a LLC, create a business plan, and open a website for their planned startup.
During the previous sessions of Student Startup, 41 KFU students have received grants of 1 million rubles each.
