Order of Alexander Nevsky bestowed on Rector Lenar Safin

This award is part of the Russian state award system for civil servants.

In particular, the Rector was awarded for his many years of conscientious work and high results achieved in his official capacities.The Presidential decree notes the merits of Dr Safin in science, teaching, and personnel training.

In 2017, Lenar Safin was also awarded with the Gratitude of the President of the Russian Federation. In addition, among his awards are the Medal of the Order For Merit to the Fatherland 2nd degree, the honorary title of the Distinguished Builder of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Medal of the Order For Merit to the Republic of Tatarstan, the Medal for Valorous Labor of the Republic of Tatarstan, an appreciation letter of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, the badge of the Honorary Worker of Transport of Russia, the badge of the Honorary Road Builder of Russia, and many others.

Lenar Safin has been the Rector of Kazan Federal University since 2022. Before that, he worked at the alma mater in his specialization, law, from 1995 till 2008.
