Student Startup winner produces chocolate with info on local places of interest

Sofya Mustafina, a senior student of economics, is one of the recipients of the student entrepreneurship grant.

“Chocolate is loved by many people, and I am no exception. And it can be made not only tasty, but also beautiful. All this led me to create my own series of chocolate products. I am interested in creating something that will bring people joy,” comments Mustafina.

The chocolates contain cards with photos and general information on Kazan’s sightseeing landmarks.

“First of all, the composition of my chocolate is without unnecessary and not always useful additives. This makes it different from what we are used to buying in the store. It is very tasty and made only from natural ingredients. Secondly, the shape. It can be of a completely different kind: from the usual chocolate bar, decorated with unusual edible decorations, to chocolate figures and even a bouquet of flowers. Thirdly, what will distinguish my products is an additional geographical postcard with a photo and description of interesting places in Kazan,” adds the interviewee.

Sofya shares that pitching the project and asking questions was indeed a formidable task.

“I think that being afraid is normal. The most important thing in such competitions is conveying your idea to the panel. It’s necessary to be convinced that your offer will be of use to people, to understand clearly what you want to achieve, and to be ready for a productive work,” concludes the entrepreneur.

The grant is going to be disbursed to equipment purchases and wages, as well as chocolate components.
