University Clinic discusses year’s results

Rector Lenar Safin visited the Clinic’s concluding meeting of the year on 24 December.

“The Year of the Family is already coming to an end. And I am very glad that many employees of our University Clinic have had children this year,” Lenar Safin addressed the team. “Strong and friendly families are a reliable homefront, and when everything is good in at home, then it is possible to achieve better results at work. You have achieved a lot this year, and you have been able to help many people. I want to say a huge thank you for this! You are doing a very important thing so that our population stays active and healthy.”

The Rector then presented certificates for financial assistance to new parents and added that next year he plans to continue the current program to support young families of employees, where a one-time payment of 100 thousand rubles is provided for the birth of a child.

Also, congratulations were heard today from the Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan Vladimir Filatov and the Director of the Institute of Fundamental Medicine and Biology of KFU Andrey Kiyasov.

Chief Medical Officer (Director) of the University Clinic Rinat Shigabutdinov awarded the employees with letters of appreciation and certificates of honor for their professional achievements.

In the outgoing year, the University Clinic became the leader in Russia in the number of uterine fibroid embolizations, and in the Volga Federal District – in prostate adenoma embolizations.

In addition, together with the Institute of Fundamental Medicine and Biology, they introduced the Zero-fluoro technology – surgical treatment of complex heart rhythm disorders without X-ray radiation or with its minimal use. The first procedures were successful, so about a hundred such surgeries are planned for next year.
