Veronika Vasina named among best pedagogues of the Commonwealth of Independent States

She was awarded with a 1st degree diploma and a medal in Astana, Kazakhstan.

Veronika Vasina, Senior Research Associate of the Laboratory of Complex Assistance to Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders, presented her authorial technique called Sugar Bowl and Teapot on a Holiday Table. The technique aims to unravel unconscious attitudes to interpersonal relations in the aspect of facilitation of social interactions.

The procedure comprises a drawing test and a dialogue between the two drawn objects, where the sugar bowl acts as a female and the teapot acts a male (in line with their grammatical gender in Russian). The requirement is to draw and write a story very quickly, so that logic and socially acceptable answers don’t come into play and subconscious motives surface.

Vasina teaches corrective psychology and pedagogy for future pedagogues of inclusive education. In her 20 years of work, the scientist has personally tested and consulted over a thousand people.
